Earthquake

Yesterday the ground got slightly unstable. Amazingly people here in Japan completly ignore earthquakes of this magnitude and continue what they are doing as if they wouldn't notice. The reaction to a sudden rain shower would have been stronger: people would have opened their umbrellas.

I haven't seen them for quite some time in Germany -- now I realize why: they emigrated to Japan! :-)

Tokyo Subway

There was this nasty little problem in Tokyo's subway connected with cell phones with built-in cameras and fast UMTS connections to the internet....


Crowded subway waggons confront the "Mr. Monk"-like among us with the Catch-22 decision either to tumble agains other fellow human beings when the car accelerates or to touch these handles.
