Exchange Rate JPY-EUR

A few years ago, Japan used to be unbelievably expensive for foreign travellers. Thanks to the trend of the Yen exchange rate compared to the Euro this changed significantly. Most things seem to be cheaper here in Japan than in Germany. Using public transport costs next to nothing, an extensive meal of 13 courses costs about as much as having dinner at a Kneipe in Germany. For quite acceptable hotel rooms in the middle of Tokyo or Kyoto one has to pay about 50 to 70 EUR -- which one should compare to cities like London, Paris or New York.
