Saint Sulpice

My hotel in Quartier Latin is almost directly next to the church of St. Sulpice - well known to everyone who read Dan Browns novel 'The Da Vinci Code'. The 'Rose Line' is something purely fictional invented by Dan Brown - and in addition the meridian running through Saint Sulpice (placed there in 1727 by the English watchmaker Henry Sully) is *not* identical with the 0° meridian marked on the streets of Paris. As this church nowadays is frequently visited by Dan Brown fans there are now some warning signs. In general one gets the impression that the Catholic church didn't like "The Da Vinci Code" too much....
