Frauenkirche

Yesterday I found the time to visit Dresden's recently restorated Frauenkirche. Built between 1726 and 1743 it was destroyed almost exactly 60 years ago by British bomb attacks during the night 13./14. February 1945. Between 1994 and 2005 it was rebuilt and re-opend in October 2005.

Lovely pictures, indeed. I love to go to your pages. The restaurration of the Frauenkirche was a daunting task. When I first biked the dying DDR I saw the heap of rubble. I think it was easier to build the Pyramides then to rebuild the Frauenkirche.
All the best, Alexander
